Fish, fresh or chilled

**Greek Imports of Fresh Fish Surge Amid Seasonal Demand**

**Fresh Fish Imports Rise as EU Supplies Boost Availability**

• Greek imports of fresh fish increased by 12% year-over-year in June.
• The uptick was driven by seasonal demand for seafood during the summer months.
• Prices for fresh fish fell 5% compared to May, largely due to improved EU supplies.

Greek imports of fresh fish surged in June as consumers took advantage of improved availability and lower prices. Seasonal demand for seafood during the peak summer months drove up imports, with Greece sourcing more than a third of its fresh fish from European Union member states. The decline in prices was attributed to increased supply from other EU countries, which helped to meet the rising demand.
